Some scars run deeper than healed wounds on the body. Memories can be a tricky thing; they can be special or traumatic, especially when you have no control over the trigger. When they hit, they can hit hard.
When Chopper ends up in the ER, the memories start and the only thing that soothes his pain is a woman from his past that holds special meaning. Ivy fights for her patients, but when her teenage crush lands in her ER she is forced to handle her scalpel in a whole different way.
Life is a constant struggle and it can be difficult to realize that one tiny moment in time can be just the change you need. Nothing is more difficult than fighting an inner battle, one that has branded scars into pieces of your soul. Will Chopper allow Ivy into his fight? Or will he continue to face his battles alone?

This is book 4.5 in the Broken Deeds MC series. It has 16 chapters and an epilogue and is about Chopper and Ivy. This starts where Unforgiving ended, where Chopper got hurt. We see Chopper needs stitches so he see’s Ivy in the hospital and they haven’t seen each other in 10 years. They both had crushes on the other when they were younger.
Chopper is an ass in the beginning. She’s a virgin. He wants her and does claim her as his ol’lady, but he thinks he can’t have a relationship because of his past and he doesn’t communicate very well.
He’s watching her house on a camera when he sees someone else do the same thing. So he moves in to protect her. Everything moves super fast. They get together but he leaves before she wakes the next morning which hurts her. She makes him leave and they are apart for 2 weeks.
Lochlan sticks his nose in and gets her to get inked and go to him. He wants her, he just thinks she could do a lot better than him. I love that they actually talk. They both really care for each other.
I loved this. It has some good, hot sex scenes. Short but still good. Epilogue is 2 years out. They are married with twins. Great read. I loved it. 4 stars for me. Thanks for reading.
