Blurb: Being a powerful and strategic businesswoman, Mae doesn’t back down from any challenge. Hopping from one job and place to the next, she has a spotless reputation of dragging businesses out of a corporate death spiral.
Oliver has been burned one time too many in his life. The last time it almost cost him his company that he worked very hard for. To say he doesn’t trust easily might be an understatement when he discovers that a beautiful woman has taken over the lead of his company.
With both Oliver and Mae being professional and sharing the same mindset of keeping the office floors clear of romance, they might be facing an even bigger dilemma when Mae’s reputation, as well as their hearts, are on the line.
Loving Mae is the fourth novella in The Swamp Head Series; a seven book novella series based on a family born and raised in the swamp. Loving Mae is the 4th in the series, and even though it can be read as a standalone, I think you would benefit by reading in order. They are all great stories. It has 12 chapters and an epilogue and is about Hallie Mae and Oliver. Hallie Mae is Elsie’s twin and Oliver is Serenity’s brother.
They meet cause Serenity hires Mae to help their company. Mae and Oliver’s first and second meet don’t go so well as he is an ass at first. They decide to keep it professional. 3 weeks in and he finally decides he’s not letting her go, so he makes his move.
There’s a couple hot sex scenes. She pushes away a little bit. Slight om drama from someone who wanted her, but it was a split second thing. And then she runs and hides for a few days till he finds her. They love each other, she was just scared. I loved this one. Great read. Short and to the point. Epilogue is 2 years out and they are married and pregnant. I gave it 4 stars. Thanks for reading. You can get it here: Loving Mae: Swamp Heads
