My review for His Man by Leah Sharelle

IT’S LIVE AS OF 12/27/2018!!!!

Blurb: FORD

Ford had a pretty good life.

He was part of a former elite commando team, a talented computer genius, and a member of the Wounded Souls MC. He had a real family with his brothers, their women, and kids. Life was good. Well, it would be except for one big sexy issue—a tall helicopter pilot with a mouth and body made for sin. Lucky didn’t know it yet, but Ford was coming for him.

After the horrific shooting at the FOB while on deployment, Lucky took the medical discharge the army offered and ran back to the only place he was accepted just as himself. The Wounded Souls MC. After years of being a part-time member, he was now out of the army and healed, ready to do his bit. The only obstacle in his way was in the form of the club’s computer expert and go-to babysitter. His only hope of staying away from Ford and out of his bed was Lucky’s fiancée. But one look at his former lover had Lucky thinking maybe it was time to dig deep for some courage and finally reveal his true feelings, not only to his blood family but to the man who’d captured his heart and refused to give it back.

Did he want it back? Could he finally stand up to his powerful family and admit he wanted to be Ford’s man?

A Wounded Souls Novella.

May be spoilers:

His Man is book 5.5 in the Wounded Souls MC series. It has 12 chapters and an epilogue and is about Ford and Lucky. I do recommend reading this series in order so you don’t miss anything and you know what’s going on. This series is awesome. I’ve loved every one of them.

I was really looking forward to this one. I love series where we get to see the characters from all the stories in each book. It makes me happy.

Shiloh, I love her. She is hilarious. I love how these men are with her. Makes for a great story, funny mixed in with heartbreak.

We open up after the prologue to Ford taking Shiloh and Bastian to the park. If you are reading in order, then you know that Darth was killed when he protected Shiloh and Memphis. Shiloh tells him she’s been seeing Darth.

Lucky and Ford both want each other, but Lucky is denying himself. He’s in love with Ford, but he doesn’t want to share that he’s gay, so he’s engaged to his high school friend/ sweetheart. Booth talks to him about what he’s doing and he feels ashamed of hurting Ford. You can definitely feel everything.

Ford and Lucky haven’t been together in a few years. Ford hates seeing Lucky and his girl together. The women butt in trying to help Ford which is adorable and I love it.

Lucky gets pissed at Ava cause she bad mouths everyone and Ford and then fights with Ford.

I have to say they do get pretty hot. I rarely read a mm story, but this was awesome.

Lucky gets pissed when Ford says he’s done. I love that he says that he hasn’t been with Ava intimately. They have a heavy make out session before Shiloh interrupts.

We see that Lucky is going to get rid of Ava and then he’s going after Ford. He messes up when he doesn’t speak up for Ford in front of the guys, but he’s figured out what he wants, gotten rid of Ava and isn’t ashamed of letting anyone know how he feels. Leah sure knows how to make her men grovel.

There are a couple hot, sexy scenes. I loved it. This was just a sweet love story, with just a tad drama, but most of the push/pull happened off page thankfully.

I don’t know where she comes up with this stuff, but this story was awesome. This author, she makes you feel everything the characters feel, which is pretty rare and fantastic. I don’t know how she can top this one. These two were great. I loved seeing everyone.

Epilogue is just a short intro for Shiloh talking to Darth.

This was one of my favorites. Great read. I loved it. The only thing I didn’t like is that we didn’t see further for Ford and Lucky, we just see them together, but I’m sure we’ll see them in the next. Can’t wait.  I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out. You can get the book on Amazon here: His Man : A Wounded Souls Novella (The Wounded Souls Book 6)
