Blurb:
Stefano Andros is a man with a chip on his shoulder. He’d stopped giving a dam about the world when his heart had been ripped out by tragedy as a young man. Now years later, he’s become a different man, one who wouldn’t think twice about putting a bullet in a fool for getting in his way. There was nothing left of the carefree young man he’d once been, until the night in a casino game room when he looked into the eyes of a dream.
She wasn’t supposed to be real, his dying sister had mentioned her with her last breath, but he’d never expected to one day hold her in his arms. Now he found himself face to face with a promise made long ago.
But all is not as it seems, as he finds that there’s more to the woman who was destined
to own his heart than meets the eye.
May be spoilers:
The Gambler has 31 chapters and an epilogue and is about Stefano and Jenna.I know it seems long, but once you get to reading, the time just passes. It reads like a fast read. Where you are just so interested, there’s no looking up till you are done. We do get different povs.
Jenna is autistic. Stefano is a businessman, but he loves to gamble for fun. He lost a little sister who was autistic and he built a special needs facility for people like his sister and Jenna.
They meet when Jenna’s brother gets ticked off at her and hits her when she just wants to go over and see the lights. Stefano just takes her. She’s not scared of him because he’s her Angel.
He falls quickly for her and is very gentle with her.
Jenna has been trained by criminals to be a criminal. She’s pretty awesome. She’s a hacker and a card shark. Andros is not happy that they’ve used her like they have.
He’s all in with her, but he doesn’t want to move too fast and scare her. She sees things and she’s seen his sister. We see that his sister was killed after being hurt by a group of guys.
She’s a virgin and he’s so good with her. Everything moves fast, but it keeps you interested all the way through. There really is no drama in the relationship, all of it’s just everything that’s going on. Someone wants to kill her after they get what they want out of her.But Andros isn’t going to allow anything to happen to her.
This was a great read. I loved it. I know some will have a problem with her being Autistic and having a sexual relationship with Andros, but I loved it. I thought it was written pretty well, but I’m a huge fan of this author.
I loved the sex scenes, they were pretty sweet, not as rough as normal for this author. Epilogue is 4 years out, they are happily married with a daughter. Great read. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out. You can get the book here: The Gambler
