Blurb: I don’t fool around with clients. That means Elsie is off-limits. But from the moment she walked into my office, I knew I’d be breaking all of my rules for her. I’ll do whatever it takes to make her mine.

Hard. Rough. Dangerous. That’s what people say about me, and I don’t deny a word of it. Being a private detective in Sutter City requires a serious level of grit. In my world, attachments can get you killed. I live by my own rules, and nothing gets in my way.

…At least, until Elsie appears in my life, crashing over me like a storm and washing away everything else I thought was important.

She’s everything I never knew I wanted. Pure temptation. Beautiful as sin. I learned what desire truly was the moment she melted me with those beautiful brown eyes. Now all I can think about is her. Her smell. Her touch. Her taste. The way her soft, delicate curves feel in my rough hands. I need her to be mine.

Elsie is mixed up with some bad people. If they threaten her again, they’re going to find out exactly how dangerous I really am. I’ll fight off the whole underworld myself if I have to.

There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to keep her safe.

Elsie is my woman.

Now it’s time for me to claim her.

If you’re looking for realism, you’ve got the wrong book! This is over-the-top, smutty insta-love of the purest kind. Some action, some adventure, but mostly just a growly, possessive alpha claiming his woman. Happy reading! Every book in the Sutter City series can be enjoyed as a standalone read.

Safe. HEA. No cheating, no love triangles, no cliffhangers. 18+

May be spoilers:

I received an  ARC from the author for an honest review.

Hardboiled Love is the 1st in the Sutter City series. I do believe this is the author’s debut book. This has 21 chapters and an epilogue and is about Elsie and Daniel.

Daniel is an investigator and they meet when Elsie goes to him because she needs some help.

They both are drawn to the other right off the bat, which I love. I’m a huge fan of instalove stories.

Everything moves very fast with lots of steam. I’m a huge fan of steaminess. I actually thought it was a very good read. A little cheezy, but very hot. Slight outside drama, but even that was over quickly. They were adorable together.

Hoping Blade gets a story.

No cheating, no ow/om drama at all, no separations. Instaeverything. .

Epilogue is only a little bit out. They are happily married and just buying a house. Very good read. I do wish the epilogue was a little further out. Definitely will not be the last that I read from this author.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.  Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out.

Goodreads shelves: arc, cheezy, epilogue-married, faithful-since-meeting, fast-read, get-together-stay-together, hea, insta-everything, instalove-lust, no-cheating-between-mcs, no-ow-om-drama, no-push-pull, no-sex-scenes-with-ow-om, no-virgins, read, safe-for-me, short-to-the-point, steamy

There is a free book at the end that you download. It’s Hardboiled Passion and it’s about Mason and Jessica. It has 8 chapters and an epilogue. It’s just a short to the point story. Fast, instalove to the max. I loved it. I actually think I loved it more than the main story. Sorry. Great read. Little blip of steam, not as much as the main story, but I still loved this one. No real drama, no separations other than distance, no cheating.

Epilogue is a year out, they are happily married.
