Review: Take Me Home: An Opposites Attract Novel by Cameron Hart

Published: April 2019

Blurb: ELI:

The family ranch is in more trouble than I thought, so I take a bodyguard job for a Park Avenue princess. Our first encounter is less than ideal, the little brat almost skewered me with a fire poker. She might be sexy as f*ck, but her attitude could use quite a bit of an adjustment. But then we spend one amazing night together and once I have a taste of her passion… No. Can’t go there. She’s a job. And she’s nothing like me.

The more I get to know her, the more I see there’s more to her tough, prickly bravado. She’s complicated and damaged, and despite my best efforts, I find myself wanting to be the one to heal her broken parts.

My mom and dad have never been overly affectionate. They have their reasons, and I carry the guilt around with me wherever I go. I learned from a young age that I’m all alone. So imagine my surprise when I come home and find a large, devastatingly sexy alpha male standing in my kitchen. He says he’s my new bodyguard, but I only see him as an inconvenience.

After a moment of weakness, we share one freaking amazing night together… and then I have to push him away. But somehow, he’s gotten under my skin. It’s dangerous to fall for a man like him. He could break me… or he just might heal me.

TAKE ME HOME is a steamy, sweet, opposites attract novel. Eli and Annaya heat up the pages from the very beginning, and their chemistry leads to some kindle-melting action! These two might start out as enemies, but they are heartachingly sweet by the end. Guaranteed HEA that will give you a toothache

May be spoilers:

Take Me Home has 20 chapters and an epilogue and is about Eli and Annaya.

Eli has come home to help his mom with their ranch after he caught his girlfriend cheating on him. He’s been back for awhile and he needs some money to put into the ranch.

They meet when Annaya’s dad hires him for her security. Things do no start off on a good note. They do both feel an attraction, but Annaya is a pain right off the bat to keep her distance.

She’s hurting and she doesn’t want him to know about her past, but she finally tells him and it’s heartbreaking for sure. Definitely feel the emotions.

He’s so good with her and loves her.

Her parents are terrible to her. She has a price on her head. She’s never known love til Eli.

His mom is wonderful to her right off the bat.

There are some hot, steamy scenes with a little choking and spanking thrown in.

The only drama is her parents and being kidnapped for a split second. I absolutely loved this story. I love when you can actually feel the emotions of the characters.

No separations-even though they are technically not together for a little bit, no ow/om drama, no cheating. Great read.

Epilogue is 3 months out, they are engaged to be married and just finding out they are pregnant. The only negative for me is that we don’t get to see further out. Great read though. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.  Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out.
