Blurb: Brock Lewis is tired after spending years living on the wrong side of the law. He’s expecting a sleepy little town in Colorado where he can lay low and turn over a new leaf, but he never anticipated how much everything would change when he meets his soulmate. Then his last job goes south, and the future he envisioned for them is ruined when he’s sent to prison.

Mila Allen fell in love with Brock five years ago and instead of the happily ever after he promised following a short business trip, she never saw him again, shattering her heart to pieces. However, he left something to remember him by, and focusing on raising their daughter, Ella, is all that kept her going.

Then Brock returns with one mission in mind…to win back his woman. Now free once more, his dark past is threatening the future he’s trying to build. Will they get their second chance? Or will his old life prevent him from having a new one with his family?

Warning: Sweet, sexy and safe read! Happily ever after guaranteed! This author writes what she likes to read. That means there will be instalove, OTT Heroes, and, brace yourselves, virgin characters at times. If none of those float your boat, you might want to find another book. If they do, you’re in the right place.

May be spoilers:

Set Free is the 3rd in the Second Chances series. Each can be read as a standalone, but this author is pretty great, so I do recommend reading the others.

This has 13 chapters and 2 epilogues and is about Brock and Mila.

This is a second chance love story, as it was instalove when they first met, but even though Brock told Mila about his past, he didn’t tell her he was doing one last job.

I do love that we see bits and pieces of their beginning.

It’s been 5 years since they seen each other and he’s been in prison and Mila just thought he left her or he was dead.

She’s hurt and doesn’t want to see him at first, but he’s not letting her get away.

The great thing about this author is that you can feel the characters feelings. Makes for a great read.

Slight push/pull at the start, but doesn’t last long, not even a day as they are both still in love with the other. So glad that she stayed faithful even not knowing where he was.

This was another great story. I loved it. His past does come back, but it’s over quickly.

Great read. No cheating, no ow/om drama-was a blip from om who was flirting, but that was over quickly, no separations once he gets back.

Epilogue is 5 years out, then another 5 years out. They are happily married with 3 kids. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.  Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out.
