Review: A Forbidden Mating by Jordan Marie and Jenika Snow

Published June 2019

Blurb: I’m a shifter.

We have our own rules, customs.

At least we’re supposed to.

When my father went against tradition and arranged a mating for me—one he said would better the pack, I did the only thing I could.

I ran.

I want to choose who I love, who I mate.

But my fleeing has me stranded in Unforgiven … face to face with my fated mate.

A wolf who refuses to let me go.

And I don’t want him to.

I don’t want to deny either of us what comes naturally … being together in every conceivable way.

But what happens when my father and betrothed mate find me? Will it start an all-out war? Or can they see I’m finally happy, finally where I’m supposed to be?

Jenika and Jordan are back, giving you what every woman wants. A man who knows just how to bite and pull her hair. If you liked your glance at Unforgiven Country, don’t despair, they’re bringing you back into that world with enough heat to make you purr.

May be spoilers:

A Forbidden Mating is the 2nd in the Unforgiven Country series. This story has 10 chapters and 2 epilogues and is about Colt and Jasinda. I do feel that you can read this as a standalone, but we did meet Colt in the first story.

Both are wolf shifters.

We know in the first book that Colt isn’t happy that Wyatt is alpha as he felt it should be his. He’s just very unhappy, so he feels the need to leave.

Jasinda in on the run from her life as her father, the alpha of her pack, wants her to mate with the next alpha in line. She just wants her mate.

They meet when she’s broken down on the side of the road, but he waits until she’s at the hotel to come for her.

They both know they are mates. She’s a virgin and while I wish we knew if he was, I’m glad there was no talk about his past, if he had one.

This was a good story with some steam. Just a blip of drama, but it was over quickly. Slight pushing away from Jasinda in the beginning, but was over quickly as Colt wasn’t letting anything come in between them.

Great read. I loved it. No cheating, no ow drama, just a blip of om drama, no separations.

Epilogue is 5 years out, then 2 years later. They are happily mated with 2 girls and a boy. I do like that we get a sneak peek of Stark’s book. I so can’t wait for that one.

I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.  Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out.
