Her Soldier’s Baby has 12 chapters and an epilogue and is about Pierce and Amanda.

We meet Pierce who’s best friends with Amanda. He’s been a widow for a few years and raising 2 kids on his own with the help of his parents. I’m always worried about reading about a dead spouse as I worry that the heroine would be second, but that was not the case at all.

Now, his parents are moving and he needs help, so his best friend recommends him to hire his sister as a nanny.

Amanda needs a little extra money to help with school loans. Amanda had a crush on Pierce when they were younger, but he was much older than her. So they were never together, and never close to being together when they were younger. She’s still a virgin and he’s been celibate for years.

When they first meet again, you can just feel Pierce fall. They do speak about his late wife a couple of times, but he’s not pining for her and you can definitely tell that Amanda is his one true love, my opinion anyways.

Everything moves super fast. They are both all in from the beginning. No drama at all. Just them getting together. Great read, I thought. I just loved them together.

No cheating, no ow/om drama, no separations.

Epilogue is 5 years out, they are happily married with 3 kids and pregnant. There is also a wedding epilogue that you can get at the end of the book for free, very sweet.
