Blurb: A little blackmail. A lot of glitter.
When the coffee shop owned by Bailey’s found family is threatened by a new corporate coffee house, Bailey immediately makes her protest signs and starts marching in front of the building. She charms the construction workers, the project manager, and, without knowing, the owner of the franchise—Jackson “Jax” Roberts.
Jax is so successful in his coffee kingdom that he’s bored. He’s assembled a team of professionals that scout new locations, train new owners, and launch new ventures. He doesn’t have to do a thing. Then one day he gets a call that there’s a problem with one of their latest acquisitions. All it takes is watching one video of Bailey marching around in front of his construction site with her handmade protest sign and he’s smitten.
To Jax, Bailey’s a hot mess of baking products, marker and glitter, but he’s never seen anyone sexier in his life. He’ll do anything for her to move her picketing from outside his building to inside his bedroom…even if it includes a little blackmail.
May be spoilers:
Spark has 16 chapters with an epilogue and is about Jax and Bailey.
I don’t usually comment on the book cover, but this one, I just have to. I love it. It’s cute, fun and just a pretty cover. Definitely matches Bailey’s personality.
I love a story that makes me smile. Right off the bat, Bailey is a sweetheart, I just loved her.
She finds out her family/best friend may be losing their business and decides to do something about it.
Jax sees a picture of her and falls head over heels before even speaking to her. She falls just as fast but she sees him as the enemy.
She’s just so adorably funny. She ignores him so when she goes in to his shop, he blackmails her into dating him and letting him stay with her.
She’s a virgin. There is really no talk of his sexual history, which was great.
I loved it. Little steam, lots of love. Small blip when she thinks he lied, but it was over after a minute.
Great read. No drama really other than him building a coffee shop. It’s a little funny and adorable in places. I love when I smile all the way through a story.
No cheating, no ow/om drama, no separations.
Epilogue is 2 years out. They are happily married with a son.
I loved it. Short and sweet. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading.
