Review: My Mountain Man Muse by Olivia T. Turner

Published Sept. 2019

Blurb: I’ve always dreamed of renting a cottage in the mountains for a week to write a romance novel and now I’m finally here.

I have everything I need.

– Log cabin on a secluded mountain (check)

– A week off work to do nothing but write (check)

– A light snow falling outside as I sit under a blanket at the desk (check)

– An amazing love story that writes itself (what’s the opposite of a check?)

It’s my second day here and I haven’t written one word.

Can you still get writer’s block if you’re not a real writer?

It’s all a disaster until I’m wandering through the woods and see some much-needed inspiration.

It comes in a big, bearded, growly package.

His name is Jayden Rowe and he’s a rugged mountain man who says he owns everything on this mountain.

Including me.

Suddenly, with Jayden’s shirtless body to gawk at while he chops wood, the words start flowing and my book comes alive.

But when it’s time to write the love scene, the words dry up and I have nothing.

What I need is a little mountain man inspiration to get the book going again.

Research. That’s what I need.

Hot, sweaty, sultry research with my gorgeous new mountain man friend.

That’s when I decide that I’m going to seduce Jayden…

…for research purposes of course.

Are you ready for an ax-wielding mountain man who knows how to handle his wood? Lily will have you laughing, and Jayden will have you swooning and stopping to fan yourself with your Kindle. Grab a glass of wine, lock everyone out of the room, and get ready to have a wild time with this crazy pair!

No cheating, SAFE, and a wintery HEA!

May be spoilers:

I received an ARC for an honest review.

My Mountain Man Muse has 11 chapters and 3 epilogues and is about Jayden and Lily.

They meet when he finds her on his mountain. I have to say, she is hilarious.

Both have been celibate for years.

This was a cute read. I just couldn’t really connect with the character, didn’t feel the connection between them.

No drama, just them getting together. Not as steamy as some of her others.

No cheating, no drama, no separations.

Epilogue is a year out, then 9 years later, then 30 years later. They are happily married with 3 kids. I gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading. Hope you check it out.

Goodreads: arc, celibate-hero, celibate-heroine, epilogue-kids, epilogue-married, faithful-since-meeting, hea, instalove-lust, no-cheating-between-mcs, no-drama, no-ow-om-drama, no-push-pull, no-separations, no-sex-scenes-with-ow-om, no-virgins, read, safe-for-me
