Protecting His Fox’s Sass is the 2nd in the Sass and Growl series. Has 15 chapters and is about Teine and Nolan. I do recommend reading the series in order, as we met Nolan in the first.

Teine, a fox shifter, was an enforcer for her alpha, but now she’s on the run to protect her niece.

Nolan, he’s a bear shifter and in the first book, he really sounded like a player, but we didn’t see him with anyone and he hasn’t been with anyone since Emery came into their family.

She sees and smells him when he comes in the club and they both know they are mates, but she runs before he sees her. She’s so worried about making sure her niece is safe, she doesn’t have room for anything else.

Steam happens later in the story, still hot.

Great read, I thought. The only drama is from her past, but it was over quickly.

Writing was great, flowed well.

No cheating, no ow drama-there was a blip where his sister mentioned a revolving door of women and it hurt her for a sec, no om drama, no separations once they get together and no epilogue, but I know we’ll see them in the next story.

I love that we get to see the characters from the first story. A continuing storyline with just the main characters changing in each story, makes for a great read for me.
