In Love With My Best Friend has 30 chapters with 3 epilogues and is about Jake and Larissa. We did see Jake in Carried Away and he was looking for Larissa.

Jake and Larissa were best friends for 4 years. Neither looked at the other as more until the one night he took her virginity and they both fell head over heels for the other.

She left the next day thinking she ruined their friendship, not realizing that was a turning point for him also.

Thankfully, we don’t have to go through all that, we just see brief glimpses as the story starts 9 months since she’s been gone. He’s been trying to find her all this time.

I really love that neither were with others during their time apart.

I love that she comes back at the start of the story. She knows that she’s made a mistake and wants Jake.

I love that he took her back right away and didn’t make her feel like crap even though he had every right to be angry. I think she punished herself plenty.

I really loved this. There was no drama, just them getting together.

It never says if they were both celibate the 4 years that they were just friends, it actually doesn’t say anything about their pasts, except we knew that she was a virgin.

They were both all in when she came back.

No cheating, no ow/om drama, no drama at all, 9 months separation and then separated a week by distance only.

Epilogue is 8 weeks, then 3 years, then 9 months later. They are happily married with 3 boys and just giving birth to a girl.
