I’m the sheriff of Snow Ridge, Montana. My job is to protect my community so what I say goes around here, with no negotiations.

Now tell that to the new town doc.

Meg Chambers, MD is a world of trouble for me with her made for sin curves. Plus, thanks to our town housing shortage, she’s renting a room in my house so I’m not only her boss, I’m her landlord. That makes her totally off-limits.

And that’s a crying shame. All I can think about is how I could put that lush mouth of hers to better use than sassing me and what her breathy voice sounds like whispering her dirty fantasies in my ear. I’m obsessed with making her mine yet it’s the last thing I can do.

Unfortunately, Meg rushing off to save patients in dangerous situations isn’t my only problem. Some sick bastard is harming members of my community. And the closer I get to tracking the culprit, the more danger Meg is in. I will do anything to protect what’s mine (and make no mistake Meg will be mine), to hell with the consequences. But that means I have to choose between the woman I’m meant to be with and the town that trusts me.

I’m a huge fan of this author and this one sounded so good to me. Reading is so fast and easy when the writing flows so well.

Mister Boss is the 1st in the Mister Mountain Men series. Has 11 chapters with 2 epilogues and is about Meg and Ash.

Ash is the sheriff and Mayor of his town.

Meg is the new doctor and she moved to town 2 months ago. She’s actually renting a room from him too, which I thought was funny.

They both fell for each other right off the bat, but neither thinks they can do anything about it because of the rules and keeping their jobs.

Lots of steam.

They have a little tiff, but it was over quickly.

It was a cute story, with very little drama. Just dealing with the trapper and figuring each other out.

No cheating, no ow/om drama, she did leave for a minute, but he followed soon after, so I don’t really count that as a true separation and they were apart by distance for a couple of weeks.

Epilogue is 6 months out, then 2 years later. They are happily married with a daughter and pregnant.

The next story will continue with the trapper storyline. I kind of wonder if it isn’t Tristan as the next story is about Dane and Trudy. Guess I’ll see when it comes out.
