An experiment gone wrong has left W. Aaron Wolfe a little different, furrier and such. He’s been living in the middle of the woods for years to hide his secrets. Hungry For Red is the 1st in the Salem Experiment series.  Has 6 chapters with 2 epilogues and is about Aaron and Isla.

I have to say this started off weird, but it definitely caught my attention. Very unique for me as I haven’t read anything similar.

Aaron was turned accidentally, so now he shares his body with a wolf-see? Weird, but good. I love that even though he wasn’t born a shifter, that he still knows his mate.

Isla is on a camping trip with coworkers when she is knocked unconscious and Aaron saves her from her coworker trying to get her clothes off.

Definite instaconnection and he knows she’s his mate right off the bat. Both are virgins, which I loved. Lots of steamy goodness.

Just a blip of drama when she runs after seeing him shift, but he wasn’t too far behind, so they were only apart for a few hours at most.

Great read, I thought. Flows well, so it reads fast. Love steamy shifter stories.

No cheating, no ow drama, om-coworker tries to undress her, few hours separation.

Epilogue is a few months out, then 5 years later. They are happily mated with 2 kids.

It does say at the end that the other 2 in this series should be out, and they are by others, but I haven’t found them yet, so I’ll have to do that.
