Review: Gabriel by Leah Sharelle-NEW RELEASE

Published Dec. 2019

Gabriel Booth knew how his life was going to go.

First, he was going to follow in his father’s footsteps, become a soldier in the Australian Army, then lead his own commando team. His dreams and ambitions came true when he got handed the command of his own Tier 1 unit— Team FIVE.

After that, he wanted nothing more than to find that one special woman to share the same deep soul love and devotion his parents had. All his life, Gabriel watched his parents, saw the connection they had together, and wanted the same thing for himself.

That came true the day he came across a petite Pixie on a sand dune. With just one look at the stunning tiny woman, his world shifted, and the ache of wanting to be part of something special eased.

Devon Mercy never had it easy.

At the tender age of five, she lost her mother in horrible circumstances, yet on the same day, there was even more trauma to rock her and her family, changing their lives forever.

Her whole life had been a lonely battle. The love of her mother now gone as well as the support of her grief-stricken father. All she had were three overbearing brothers and a wish to be loved and cherished.

Then, she met Gabriel. Suddenly, she thought it was finally her time! Someone who loved her, wanted to spend time with her.

Just her.

Of course, life was never as easy as you wanted. Gabriel and Devon’s road was never going to be easy. His dangerous job and Devon’s secret just two obstacles in their way. The only problem was whose is more destructive? And can it be overcome before one walked away for good?

May be spoilers:

I received an ARC for an honest review. I have to say that I love this author. I have read every story and it’s just wonderful world building which makes for a great reading experience.

I Gabriel is the son of Booth and Stella from His Honey. I really recommend reading The Wounded Souls because you get their story from the 1st book all the way through the series. It’s just good background and one of my favorite series and we’ve seen Gabriel in Shiloh’s story, Her Prince.

Gabriel is the 1st in the new series The Wounded Sons. It has 21 chapters and an epilogue and is about Gabriel and Devon.

I love the prologues in every story that gives a little background. I absolutely love seeing the characters that I loved in this series too.

Gabriel, he’s just like his dad. We get to see his beginning into the commandos. I just loved him. He made it to captain. I loved his banter with the guys. He was amazing with Devon, all in from first look.

Devon, she’s just as great. She’s been through a lot with losing her mom and having cancer at a young age. I loved her ramblings, they were adorable.

They meet while she’s out walking dogs. I have to say that they are absolutely adorable.

From the very beginning, it was instaconnection/instalove. They are very into each other and they show it. You can definitely feel the emotions, which makes for a great read.

I love a story where I smile most of the way through. The world building is amazing.

Neither are virgins and it’s been awhile for the both of them. They are both all in with the other, which I loved.

Her brothers and father are terrible to her. That was hard to read, but I loved seeing Shiloh take over.

We did get to see a little of Gabriel’s missions, but not much.

This was just a really great story. I loved these 2 together. There was no pushing away, just love. I love that he loved her rambling and even the cute way he shut her up.

This story had lots of love and funny bits and lots of memories shared from the Wounded Souls.

This was a great start to the series and can’t wait to read more. Definitely a huge fan. I loved this. Few steamy bits. It was a great read.

No cheating, no ow/om drama, no real separations other than distance.

Epilogue is just a day later. He’s planning on asking her to marry him and they love each other very much.

Normally, I take off for the epilogue if it’s not out very far. However, Leah Sharelle makes her series continuous, so I know we’ll be seeing this couple in the future. I definitely can’t wait.

I don’t know how she does it, but this is another great world that I can’t wait to read more of.

Perfect read. They were so cute and adorable, I just loved them together, that there is no way I can give this less than 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Thanks for reading. If you haven’t read anything else by this author, you need to change that.
