When Matt Ferguson got severely injured during his last deployment, he thought he’d come home and marry his high school sweetheart and they’d live happily ever after. That dream crashed and burned when she left him after cruelly hurling words that still impact him to this day. Eventually, he finds a home with the Black Tuxedos MC and is now running the construction company that the MC owns. He’s lonely, but he knows there’s no woman alive who’ll deal with the problem he has, so he resolves to do what he can, where he can, even though all he wants is someone who he can love and who will love him back.

Mandie Matchum was dealt a crappy hand, but as her foster mother always told her, you make the best of what you’ve got and she’s trying. Raising two small children on her own with no support, she’s struggling to finish up her degree while working as a waitress at a local restaurant. She’s noticed the handsome biker but doesn’t think he’d ever want someone like her and anyhow, she’s no good at relationships so why bother?

Can two people who’ve lost faith in love still build a life together? Will they each overcome their past to forge a new future?

May be spoilers:

Matt is the 3rd in The Black Tuxedos MC series. It has 18 chapters with an epilogue and is about Matt and Mandie.

I do recommend reading this series in order, as we’ve seen both characters in the previous stories.

I really do like that in each book, we get a prologue to each guys past, before they are discharged from the military

Matt, he got really hurt and lost who he thought he was going to marry cause she didn’t like his scars.

Thankfully, it’s been 10 years since that, so he’s not still hurting over her. He’s actually been celibate since then.

Mandie is a waitress at the steakhouse that everyone likes to go to. She’s a struggling single mom. She was in an abusive situation. She’s been celibate for 2 years.

I love that each man eventually gets their own service dog and they all have each other’s backs.

Matt, he’s so sweet and just wants to take care of Mandie and her kids. He’s all in.

I loved them together. I love that with each story, the men get to know the women before they go any further. Friends that turn to love.

So sweet. Couple sex scenes, but not a lot of steam.

This was just a story of them coming together and making a family, and dealing with the past that popped up. Loved seeing previous characters.

Great read. Reads fast. Flows well.

No cheating, no ow/om drama-his ex showed for a sec, but over quickly, no separations.

Epilogue is 7 months out. They are happily married with 2 kids and just giving birth to a little girl.

I gave it 🌟🌟🌟🌟. Have you read it? What did you think?
