Trace has found his mate, but before he can claim her, he must eliminate the threat from his past. Returning to the place where all of his nightmares began, Trace must fight for his life and his future. Jade was stolen when she was a child and was held captive by the General for most of her life. She was rescued by RARE and reunited with the mother she thought she lost so long ago.

Jade spent the past 20 years hiding her true nature, allowing others to see only a sweet, gentle Omega wolf. After being set free, she is slowly allowing her true self to show. Jade has found her mate, but now must wait for his return. When she finds out Trace is in trouble, she vows to bring him home and nothing or no one will stand in her way.

RARE must once again do what they do best. Track down Trace and eliminate the evil that threatens them.

Jade’s strength and determination are tested in the process. But her pull to Trace will not let her admit defeat. They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but will Jade survive if RARE doesn’t make it to Trace in time?

Warning: I do want to warn that if you have triggers, the Rare and White River Wolves series are not for you. Rape is a big part of the story line and it’s mentioned in most, if not all of the stories.

I reread this series occasionally. Keeps my attention start to finish.

You definitely want to read these series in the order that they are intended. The author has the order up on her webpage. It’s a continuous storyline with the main characters changing in each.

Trace’s Temptation is the 3rd in the RARE series, but is the 4th in the reading order. It has 24 chapters and is about Trace and Jade.

Trace is a panther shifter, telepathic and on the RARE team.

Jade is a wolf shifter and she’s Angel’s daughter and was with the general for 20 years.

So, if you are reading in order, which you should be doing, you would remember that Jade and Trace already know they are mates. They haven’t mated yet as Trace needed to clean up his past and make sure she is safe.

Part of the recap: Angel now knows both her children are alive and she’s emotionally wrecked. Her and Chase still haven’t finished the mating.

So, at the start of this one. It’s been 3 month since he left in Phoenix’s Fate. He was hunting his father, but then he was captured.

Lots of violence as he was tortured.

Love that Jade is showing who she really is.

Love learning about Jinx.

She’s a virgin.

I loved this story. This story was mainly of getting Trace back and dealing with his father.

Lots of emotions going on.

Kept my attention from start to finish.

No cheating, no ow/om drama, separation by distance only for like 9 months, no epilogue as it’s a continuing storyline.

Great read. Next up is Slade’s Desire.

At the end: We know Slade is Gypsy’s mate-she’s lost her memory, Rikki is hurt-she’s Jeremiah’s mate and she knows-Angel changed her, Jeremiah is missing, Storm has been taken, Angel is upset with Jade, both Angel and Chase are hurting.Jinx is awesome-he’s trying to take down the General’s operation. We find out Jade and Jinx’s father is alive and being tortured by the general.
