Cici…
I’ve been fascinated with shifters since my father married one and I inherited a big brother named Hannibal. Following him on the hunt for rogue wolves was fun and exciting. Right up to the minute it wasn’t. Waking up in a hospital bed with a large golden god looming over me wasn’t on my radar either. Falling for him? Out of the question. Now, I’m running because no matter how much I yearn for his touch, I’m not who he wants. But Simon? I’m learning he’s the wolf those tall tales warn you about.
Simon…
I’ve always had a fascination with humans. So fragile as they go about their day to day lives never knowing what lurks around them. Then there was her. I spilled blood for her. I’d do it again. I claimed her when I carried her to safety. My mate. I’ll forgive her for not understanding. She is human. But running from me should have never crossed her mind. Now, I’ll have to chase her down and show her exactly who she belongs to.

Please read the Dedication of this story! It was a funny one for me.
Simon’s Runaway Mate is the 5th in the James Pack series. It does need to be read in order-at least read the last story first. This has 11 chapters with an epilogue and is about Cici and Simon.
This story picks up from the point after Hannibal tells Cici to call the James pack.
Simon-we’ve met from the beginning. I always thought he had a thing for Bee, but maybe not?
Cici is Hannibal’s sister and she is human.
She’s fascinated with shifters while Simon has been the same with humans.
So, we know before starting this one, that Cici talks to Simon on the phone to get help for Hannibal and Bee.
Simon knows right aways that she’s his. He’s such a sweetheart and all in.
Absolutely loved the continuous world building/storyline.
He did mate her before talking to her, but I loved it.
Love a story that keeps my attention from the beginning.
Lots of steam.
Good read. Finished out the storyline that started from the beginning, which I loved.
Reads fast and easy.
I loved these 2 together. Wish we could have seen the whole crew together.
No cheating, no real ow/om drama, no separations-other than a minute, but I don’t really count that.
Epilogue is 6 years out. They are happily mated, married with 4 boys and another on the way.
I gave it ★★★★☆. Have you read it? What did you think?
