Dark Obsessions Anthology is a book of 13 stories by different authors.  

I only reviewed the ones that I actually read.

I’m not a huge fan of anthologies as I like to read a story that is completely finished. 

This one has a few authors that I really like. 

Saving His Forever by LeAnn Ashers

One of my all time favorite authors.  

Part of the Forever series.  It has 7 chapters with an epilogue and is about Emily and Isaac. 

I would recommend reading the Forever series before reading this one and especially Protecting His Forever as that is when we first meet both. You don’t have to, to know what is going on as we do see what happens to her.

They meet when he helps rescue Sydney and they find and Emily.

I really wanted their story after reading that story. There is a little bit that we know already, but it’s nice to see from this couple’s POV.

Emily, she’s been through alot. She was kidnapped, raped and beaten. The rape was not descriptive-we don’t actually see it. Was off-page.

You can definitely feel the emotions coming off the page. 

I loved these 2 together.  Isaac was all in from the beginning.  

They were both so sweet together.  This was just a story of them getting together and healing each other.

Sweet and strong.  Great combination. 

Neither are virgins.  Blip of steam at the end.

Great read. Reads fast and easy. 

No cheating, no ow/om drama, no separations. 

Epilogue is 5 years out. They are happily together-married-maybe, with a little girl.

She’s Mine by H.J Bellus

I don’t think I’ve read anything by this author before, but I definitely will again. 

It caught my attention from the beginning, but, I might not have read it if I would have had an inkling of the separation.

It has 13 chapters and is about Camilla and Jax. 

Jax is trying to find his sister.

He falls for her quickly and wants to help her.

There is talk of rape as she was raped and both her parents knew and didn’t do anything.  

Her story is very heartbreaking. 

I really did like this one as the writing is really good. 

I do think he had been celibate since falling for her, but not 100% sure on that.

Also, 5 years? Seriously? Yeah, not a fan of that. 

No cheating, no om drama, blip of couple other women he was thinking about,  5-6 year separation. 

Last chapter is the epilogue which is 5 years out. Not a true epilogue as it’s the first time he sees her again along with her daughter and that was it. Not a fan of that.

I gave it ★★★☆☆.  What did you think?

Stolen Tutor by Carina Blake

It has 10 chapters with 2 epilogues-really 3- and is about Niccolo and Lucy. 

They meet when she’s tutoring his niece.  He thinks it’s something shady, so he pretty much kidnaps her. 

Definitely grabbed my attention from the beginning.  

Both Niccolo and her father want to use her to hurt the other. But, he falls for her pretty quickly.  

I loved Niccolo.  Even when he was being a jerk, he was awesome. 

Loved the way they both were with Anna. Couldn’t ask for a better story. 

Great read. Reads fast and easy. 

She’s a virgin and it doesn’t say anything about his past. 

Few steamy scenes which I loved, except for the first and that’s just my personal preference. 

No cheating, no real ow/om drama,  no separations.  Epilogues are a couple weeks, a year-maybe, and 10 years out. They are happily married with kids and pregnant.

Mine Every Night by Brynn Paulin

It has 21 chapters with an epilogue and is about Graylyn and Cayce.

They meet at the bar that she goes to with her husband to be-arranged marriage. 

She’s trying to figure a way out. 

Both are very into the other, even before speaking. 

Definitely kept me interested.  

She’s a virgin. Lots of steam-which I’m a huge fan of. Nothing is said about his past.

Dubious consent. 

He’s all about taking care of her and making sure she’s safe. But, he also takes what isn’t freely given.

She doesn’t know who he is, for a little while. 

There is sexual assault-my thinking and talk of rape.

She’s attacked and it’s descriptive.  

While I really did like this one, he’s just a little harsh. Really didn’t like that he kept forcing her. I know he cared about her. 

This is a dark story, of course. 

Good read. Lots going on. 

No cheating between mcs, no ow drama, om drama-ex and father, no real separations other than distance. 

Epilogue is 6 months out. They are happily together and pregnant with 3 kids.

Depraved Desire by Dani Rene

It has 8 chapters with an epilogue and is about Keir and Adriane.

Okay, so, I’m sorry, but I don’t really have a lot to say on this one. 

They really didn’t get together until the end and yeah.

Doesn’t really flow well and I didn’t feel a connection and when I did, it didn’t go anywhere.  

Some things just didn’t make sense to me and it just felt really unfinished.  

Probably just me.

No cheating,  no ow/om drama.

Epilogue is only a couple of weeks later.

It was ok.

I gave it ★★☆☆☆.  What did you think?

Savage Kiss by Elena M. Reyes

It has 15 chapters with an epilogue and is about Silas and Willow.

Definitely grabs your attention right off the bat.

Lots of graphic violence. 

It’s been 3 years since she’s been gone.

Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait their separation out.

It’s a little confusing, in the beginning, to figure out what happened. 

But, I loved it.. Silas was awesome.

Both were celibate during the 3 years apart.

Lots of steam-lots!

Lots of violence. 

I do have to say, there are a few sentences that are copied and pasted from one chapter to another,  so it kind of ruins the flow. Still a good read. 

Lots of betrayals.

I liked it. 

No cheating, ow drama, no om drama, no separation once back together-3 year separation before story starts.

Epilogue is 6 months out. They are happily married and pregnant with twins.

Ecstasy Captured by C.M. Steele

It has 14 chapters with 3 epilogues and is about Sebastian and Candy.

They meet when his brother orders them escorts. Her mom drugs him so that Candy can get pregnant. 

Definite instalove between the 2. 

The brother and the mom were just a like. 

She’s a virgin. 

She’s gone for a couple of months before he finds her. 

I did like this one, but not as much as some of her others. 

Lots of betrayals.  

No cheating between mcs,  no real ow/om drama, 2 month separation,  then they get together and stay together. 

Epilogues are a year out, then 5 years after that,  then 10 years later. They are happily married with 3 kids.

I gave it ★★★★☆.  What did you think?

Dark Obsessions Anthology was actually really good.  I read and liked more stories than I usually do with anthologies.  

I only read the ones that I did reviews for. 

Not saying the others are bad, just aren’t my cup of tea.

Good stories. Bit dark, steamy and violent.
