My review for Claiming Elsie by Esther E. Schmidt

Blurb: An unexpected surprise has Elsie wrestling more than just gators in the souvenir shop of Bertie’s Snap and Wrap. Instant attraction causes sparks to fly when Elsie meets Dale, her new co-worker, at the local gator farm. Dale knows the second he meets her that she’s the one for him.

The phrase ‘Once bitten, twice shy’ describes Elsie perfectly and an encounter with something worse than a gator has her running for the hills. Except nothing will stop the new gator hunter who is an expert when it comes to hunting down and capturing anything he sets his mind to.

Will Dale’s instincts lead him in the right direction? Will Elsie be able to wrangle her feelings or be bitten again? There’s only one way to find out; step out of those pumps and prepare to get dirty.

May be spoilers:

Claiming Elsie is the 2nd in the Swamp Heads series. Each can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading in order, just because the 1st is great too. This has 10 chapters with no epilogue. I’m a huge fan of this author and her stories keep me interested from the very first chapter.

This is about Elsie and Dale. It’s instalove, even though she pushes away a little at first because of Dixie who is a real b*tch. She’s scared of getting hurt. He’s not letting her get away from him though. I love their bantering back and forth. There was definitely lots of hot sex that was pretty great.

Dixie causes a few problems and heartache, but it’s over quickly. He never wanted her and never was with her, but she wants everyone that wants Elsie.

It was a great read. I loved it. Fast and to the point. Great sex scenes. My type of book. I gave it 4 stars. Thanks for reading. You can get it here: Claiming Elsie: Swamp Heads
